Behind the Brand

How is Legend Brands’ Ready to Respond™ Program working to help facility managers be more successful?
The Ready to Respond™ (R2R) program helps FMs take control of handling everyday water damage problems in-house. From flooding caused by pipe freeze-ups to roof leaks and construction defects, water damage can disrupt operations and lead to significant expense if not addressed quickly. Gaining water damage capabilities empowers facility teams across all industries, from healthcare to higher education. It also streamlines day-to-day operations and emergency response.
How does the R2R program work?
Through an on-site assessment and collaborative process, R2R identifies existing risks and advises FMs on how to best close preparedness gaps. R2R then delivers training and tools tailored to each organization so it can respond to and recover faster from water problems – limiting damage, reducing downtime, and saving budget funds.
R2R encompasses four key components:
-
Evaluate - Assess current systems for improvement opportunities, such as written SOPs, to ensure readiness for water events.
-
Educate – Develop customized education, using the latest FM techniques.
-
Equip – Provide teams with hands-on skills to employ tools and best practices, combining theory and practical application.
-
Empower – Enable teams to make informed decisions quickly and boost productivity, confidence, and job satisfaction.
What does an R2R assessment entail?
A typical R2R assessment begins with an onsite visit by an experienced team to review current operations – from communication processes and equipment availability to staffing capabilities. The R2R team gathers input from internal FM staff about previous water damage challenges, what’s working well, and where the procedural gaps are. The R2R team also tracks air quality readings, maps out equipment storage and logistics, and works with staff to identify any moisture concerns.
Following the onsite visit, the R2R team prepares and delivers a customized follow-up report – including specific recommendations for team training, equipment kitting, and workload management. FM staff can then prioritize and plan next steps.
How is R2R responding to the ever-changing needs of the FM world?
The R2R team is comprised of highly qualified professionals from the water damage and facilities maintenance industries, with decades of experience in assessing, training, and coaching organizations to be more efficient and improve outcomes. The R2R team understands that FMs often serve as first responders when a water damage emergency arises – and that the FM world is ever-changing.
Extreme weather events, rising insurance costs, and building code demands have added to operational and budgeting challenges. R2R listens to FMs' needs and works to deliver solutions that make their jobs easier on a day-to-day basis.
Why should facility managers choose you as a partner?
Legend Brands’ R2R program builds partnerships based on trust, collaboration, and results. R2R equips facilities to manage water damage – working not just as a service provider but as an extension of facilities teams.
R2R adds value as a partner by benefiting complete organizations, not just one department. R2R technical training programs are designed to complement other professional development opportunities and to help retain staff. When R2R partners save money by boosting in-house capabilities, they can reallocate financial resources to other priority areas like employee safety, capital improvement, and upgrading aging infrastructure.
