Behind the Brand

What inspired the creation of your “Anyone Can Help” initiative?
At ZOLL®, we believe that lifesaving actions aren’t limited to healthcare professionals—anyone can step up in an emergency. The “Anyone Can Help” initiative was born out of this belief and a commitment to empowering everyday people, including facility managers, to respond when sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) strikes.
While 96 percent of Americans say they feel a responsibility to call 911 if they encounter someone in a cardiac emergency, only 47 percent feel a responsibility to perform CPR or use an AED.* This gap in confidence inspired us to create tools and resources that help everyday heroes take action in critical moments.
Facility managers are uniquely positioned to make a lifesaving difference in the spaces they oversee, from schools to offices to community centers. By equipping them with intuitive tools like ZOLL AEDs and actionable resources, we aim to instill confidence and create environments where anyone can help.

The sampling precision of Harris online polls is measured by using a Bayesian credible interval. For this study, the sample data is accurate to within +/- 2.5 percentage points using a 95 percent confidence level.
How do your products enhance workplace safety for FMs?
Emergencies can be overwhelming, especially for those without prior training. ZOLL AEDs address this by providing real-time CPR feedback and delivering clear, simple instructions to guide responders step-by-step through high-quality chest compressions.
For FMs, this provides peace of mind—they can ensure their teams and visitors are prepared to act confidently and effectively. Our devices are designed to be user-friendly, breaking down barriers to action and ensuring lifesaving care is accessible to everyone on-site.
Additionally, our AED program management software, PlusTrac, streamlines workplace safety by helping FMs oversee and maintain their AED programs with ease. PlusTrac helps track AEDs on or across multiple facilities, automatically alerting users when pads, batteries or responder certifications are about to expire. It also notifies managers of any manufacturer recalls. Fully customizable based on AED model and location, PlusTrac supports whatever brand of AED you’ve chosen, ensuring seamless management regardless of the AEDs in use.
Why is SCA preparedness critical for FMs?
Every day, 1,000 Americans suffer sudden cardiac arrest, according to the CDC, and survival depends on how quickly someone acts. The Harris survey reveals a critical gap: 84 percent of Americans feel confident using a fire extinguisher, but only 46 percent feel confident using an AED.
FMs are the first line of defense in emergencies, bridging the gap between an incident and professional medical care. By prioritizing SCA preparedness, we can empower bystanders and ensure safer environments for everyone.
Preparedness ensures that facilities are more than functional—they become places where lifesaving action is always possible.
What challenges does ZOLL help FMs overcome?
FMs play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring lifesaving readiness can come with unique challenges. Questions like, “What if no one knows what to do?” or “What if someone is afraid to act?” can be significant concerns when it comes to preparing for cardiac emergencies.
ZOLL AEDs are designed to address these concerns with verbal and visual prompts that guide users step-by-step through a rescue. Our devices remove barriers to action by helping responders focus and stay confident, even in high-stress situations.
To further support responders, ZOLL Mobilize trauma kits offers a mobile app that provides real-time guidance during emergencies. This resource helps users feel prepared and capable, whether they're using an AED or managing another critical situation.
Additionally, ZOLL’s AED awareness campaign provides tools and resources to help people understand the importance of AEDs and feel confident taking action. Visit AnyoneCanHelp.com for insights and educational materials designed to spread awareness and empower individuals to help save lives.
What sets ZOLL apart from other AED providers?
